Author has written 3 stories for General, Life, and Friendship. true story: There once was a twenty year old with two best friends. The threewrote stories to pass the time in High school, then in College, and it seemed forever. They acted out their stories to test their accuracy to "reality". Even if their stories meant nothing to anyone else they meant everything to them. Their stories were wonderful and connected, beautiful in content and truthful. They cherished them as they should have each other. But once they had almost completely the stories one of them moved to another country. Before she left she caused a rift in the friendship, perhaps to make her leaving easier, so that she would have no one to cry about when she left--and no regrets. The two remaining girls were fine for a while. Until one day a feeling of empiness struck one of the two girls, and she felt entirely different about her friend. She knew in her heart that it would never be the same, though for a while she tried--her mind kept reminding her of what she knew to be true. Then they were all three alone, but not completely. They still had those others in their life, that perhaps they had forgotten to pay attention to when they were busy writing stories, crying and laughing. Eventually one of the girls became friends with the girl that had gone far away, but it was only through mail and the internet. In the end they had to have realized that they were meant to grow apart. While the other friend withdrew completely from them, saying they didn't understand and considering them never to have been her friends (perhaps wishing they had never met and wrote all those things together). But in the end, the truth was: they had to change, or drown in the mess of trying to stay persistant. The three might think back sometimes and smile that their old memories but it couldn't be helped anymore. And fighting time so much I ask. And fighting time so hard I pray One day they were friends, and within another moment it'd passed, like all things do. The only thing that was left was their feelings of anguish and the will they had to go on. 2-1-06 (Lyrics: Standing, VNV nation) Stories taken down. Poetry remains.
