There's really not too much I can say about myself other than I'm completely obsessed with writing. My love for it could almost be considered tangible. I'm constantly writing various poems, short stories, and at the moment, I'm working on a multi-chapter deal. I'd like to say that my ideas are fairly unique, though they could of course be overlapping with the works of other writers, but that's bound to happen due to the vast amount of works out there.

I'm only fifteen as of today, and I'm hoping that when I'm older, I'll be able to get some of my work published. That goal is pretty much the only thing that's keeping me going at this point, as I'm going through some tough times. Of course, that's to be expected. Depression coupled with teen angst and whatnot isn't really a fun mix, but I'm sure I'll get over it eventually.

So, I enjoy reading as well. I'm currently counting the days until the final Harry Potter book is released, because I'm just that much of a nerd and all. I'm a big fan of fantasy and sci-fi -- Books that follow "real life" have never really appealed to me. I'm forced to live out "real life" every day, so it's nice to escape that with a book every once in awhile.

Other interests would be wolves... for some unknown reason. I find them.. erm.. interesting, I suppose.
Science would be another one (namely, astronomy which focuses on black holes, time, etcetra) because there's just so many cool theories that surround it.
Music, of course... Favorite artists would be.. I dunno, really... Three Days Grace, The Spill Canvas, Flyleaf, and Crossfade to name just a few.

So, if you've got the time, check out my story "Enmity." I can't really vouche for the quality of its grammar, due to the fact I wrote it in 8th grade. I won some award for it (yay, I got a certificate.. yeah, that hell of a year was ALL worth it for a freakin' piece of paper... seriously).

I'd been put off by the ideas of short stories before I wrote that. After writing it, though, I guess I can see a bit more potential in them. -- Though, I'll still always be more interested in novel length works.

Uhm, so anyway, back to Enmity... The idea for the story was completely random. I was trying to figure out what I could possibly write about, and just sort of joked around with my friends about killing off an entire school's-worth of students. Well, I stuck with the idea and decided to throw a tornado into the mix, as I've had a horrible experience with one when driving through eastern Colorado. The setting of the story is in Indiana, as it's where I was born, and the town is Tipton because some of my family lives in that part of the state. I would NOT reccomend visiting Indiana. Horrible storms (tooornados, bliiiizzards) and the only movement you'd really be seeing for miles are tumbleweeds blowing accross the street. While that may be a hyperbole, it's damn well close to the truth.
