My Writing Blog: Ramblings of a Fisherman

About Me: Hello there! My name is Chris, and I am a 20-year-old college student who is an aspiring author (and sometimes, poet). I have decided to obtain an English degree, and I am thinking about teaching high school- or college-level English in the future. I may or may not teach English in Japan after college. Serving the community as a Probation/Parole Officer may also be in my future. One thing that is certain, however, is that I am definitely pursuing a career in writing!

My Writing: I'm currently working on and off on one item; a fantasy novel that I have been brainstorming for a number of years now ("The Eddentide Chronicles: The Flow of Time"). It is a work in progress and will not be completed for quite some time. "The Flow of Time" is the subject to all of my thoughts in the fantasy genre. I'm the kind of person who can see story ideas and scenes flowing through his head, and so I relish in the opportunity to finally write all of my thoughts and ideas down. I prefer to write third-person fiction, but I have been known to occasionally write a first-person piece.

Published Works: I currently have one published work in "TAPS Paramagazine" as a guest writer. The magazine is put out by The Atlantic Paranormal Society (yes, the guys who're the stars of Ghost Hunters!). It is a short piece about a ghost story that is a legend in my little part of the world.

Favorite Books: Ender, Dragonlance, Sabriel, The Wind Singer, The Giver, The Devil in the White City.
