Author has written 27 stories for General, Action, Essay, Play, General, Life, Humor, and Nature. I'm an author also on fanfiction.net, and I more frequently use that account, http://www.fanfiction.net/~kayethorn I'm a sophomore Animal Science major in college, and older than ever at twenty years. For now and the next several years I remain a full time student though I have a full time obsession with writing and other things.Really since the age of twelve I've loved it, and I hope through the years my skill has progressed. In fact, part of first story I ever wrote, "Dragon Lair" is posted below. I am often glued to the computer typing up my stuff, listening to music, or managing my webpages, or talking to friends, etc you get the idea. I am floored wheneverI get reviews, but never expect them as a frequent thing. I guess I'm good and have a sense of humor, but there are a zillion other writers out there, I'm just one of them. My poodle/terrier mutt puppy is insane and a very good foot warmer on a long writing night when I can spend long hours in my cold family room. My chinchilla Mada provides "inspirational" support too, or a temporary break back in reality. Strangely enough, I do my best writing at school or in the middle of nowhere in an open tree surrounded area like the picnic spot in the forest preserve. As for my thoughts on writing: Words and their authors have a different place and composition than the reality that surrounds them. It matters not whether the idea is stretched to fantastic proportions or plain as a unscathed sheet of paper, they are meantto create, even if re-telling the most basic moments of humanity. Anyone can begin to stir the dregs, foresight and understanding are the most volatile possessions we have, the foundations of thought and soul's essence. Write! A lotof the essays were done for class, and I do not necessarily agree with all of my own writing, i.e. I do not think Brutus was noble. Et tu Brute? | |||||||||||
