Hey, people. My name is Mia. I'm 19 years old and an aspiring novelist. My favorite book of all time is The High King, by Lloyd Alexander, because it was freaking epic. I also enjoy Harry Potter (and I did NOT find Harry irritating in the fifth, sixth, and seventh books). Lord of the Rings is pretty amazing. Tamora Pierce is generally awesome, especially Trickster's Choice. White Oleander made me sad, and I loved it.

I am a hopeless romantic, and I tend to like mismatched couples, or couples where the typical "gender roles" are switched (a prince being saved by a heroic princess, for instance). I like stories where the main character is totally evil, but you somehow end up rooting for him/her anyway. Well-written death scenes are fantastic. I like happy endings. But I LOVE tragic endings.

I tend to write mostly sci-fi, horror, or fantasy, but lately I've been working on a novel with absolutely no mystical/supernatural elements. It's called Seven Nation Army, and OMG, miracle of miracles, chapter two is now up. Someone alert the media.

My other novel, which is not up here yet, is called Anti-Angel, and it is a sci-fi. I am working on it now, but it's a slow, slow, sloooow process. It will probably be a very long time before I even allow someone to beta read it for me, let alone post it on the internet for all to see.

Anyway... I really love getting reviews, especially ones which contain constructive criticisms. I always take those to heart and try to use them to improve my writing, so if you have suggestions, please, please, please tell me. Pretty please.
