Hello, hello and welcome to this wonderful thing known as my profile. My name is Britnie and that is what you may call me, and I'm officially 18 years old, and a college girl! I go to SUNY Oswego and am majoring in Adolescence Education with a concentration in English.

Some little things to know about me: I'm a music junkie. I love rock, Jrock, some pop and various other things. Music is an inspiration and I'm always looking for new bands to get into, but here's a small list of the ones I like: Dir en Grey, the Gazette, the Dresden Dolls, Acid Black Cherry, Eminem, Taylor Swift and millions more. I n S P I r A t I o N

My friends are one of my greatest influences and inspirations and I love them with all my heart. I can only have one great inspiration, though, and her name is Gwen.

I always want Gwen's input on my writing, be it good or bad. I've gotten a bit better at letting her read my 'personal' things, I believe, and I hope that she's gotten used to reading them and not liking some of what she finds. Then again, we've both gone through these things with each other. Anyway, she always ends up making me want to write, even if it's just her talking about a story that she's read, or thought about, or wanted to write herself.

We have a running joke (or is it?) that, one day, when I become famous (or whatever) for my writing, I'm going to call her up at three o'clock in the morning because I can't think of anything to write and she'll be the reason that book gets finished. More than likely, it'll be true. That's how things are. Hell, I even wrote some things about her! And I strongly believe that the reason that I write so much, and so well, is because of her. She always manages to get me writing or doing something. love you Gwen.

I'm a music junkie, and it's one of my biggest inspirations. No matter what, I can draw something from a song that can benefit my writing somewhere. Even if it's just a, "Character X would like this song." Sometimes, just by listening to a certain lyric or part of a song, I'll get an uncontrollable urge to write. It's unstoppable and the idea eats at my brain. Lately, that hasn't been happening but I still get that feeling every once in a while.

About Me

My favorite activities are supposedly reading and writing, though lately I spend more and more time on the computer talking to people on MSN, or in front of a book. I love to draw, though my skills only apply to people, mainly of the 'anime' style. Sadly, I'm not that good despite what other people say, but that's okay because I don't plan to use that as my profession.

I love video games. Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution... I love them. My favorite game right now is either Final Fantasy 12 or Final Fantasy 8. Both of them are my loves, and I don't know which I'll like more by the end of it. After all, FF8 was my first love, and FF12 is my new FF love.

My favorite colors are red, blue and orange. Blue is my favorite eye color and I'm just a bit weird. When I get started on a topic, it's not easy for me to tell when I'll stop talking about it, so I apologize in advance. Hopefully, I'll make it entertaining enough for you.

Lately I seem to be writing from my own experience. I also seem to like second person, ambiguous narrators, and just using topics that are extremely personal in a way that connects to other people's lives. I love it.

Yume is not my own character; She technically belongs to my best friend Gwen. But, I have been told that I can use Yume whenever I feel like it, and I should caution people that I don't always get her character right--seeing as how I'm writing my best friend's main character that is so insanely different than she herself is-- but I'm told that sometimes I get it damn close. And this is coming from Gwen, the creator of Miss Yume, who also says that she loves the characterization and the way I describe her, and it makes me feel so special and so good, to know that I can write Yume successfully.

I love receiving feedback, good or bad. I can take criticizm and I actually quite like it. I feel weird when people can't find anything wrong with a story. So, please, more than a simple, "I liked it!" if you don't mind. Though, if that's all you have to say, by all means. Hell, even a, "I'm speechless" would be welcome. More than welcome, wonderful! So, please, review and tell me how I can improve?

I like talking to people, but I'm really shy sometimes. That means that, yes, please talk to me first. At least tell me who you are. Name, location, how the hell you found me, etc. Start a conversation and I'll be good. I usually hang out on MSN, though LJ is always a good place to find me too lol. I'm hardly ever on AIM, but I do check there on occasion, so. Yes.

TITLE: The Unknown

SUMMARY: Her life has been changing, for a while now. Voices in her head, recognizing people that she had never seen before, but feeling as if she knew them somehow, dreams that she doesn't recall. And now, everything was changing around her, ever since that day. But, why did she keep thinking it all had something to do with Vampires?

NOTES: My NaNoWriMo project for 2007; Sadly, I did not finish, but I loved the story so much that I decided to keep it.

TITLE: Perfectly Unperfect

GENRE: Horror/Drama/Tragedy

SUMMARY: Kanna is a woman who had been abused as a child, mentally and physically. She now has a daughter who she is terrified of being alone with, because of her mother. I don't want to be like her... Please, please don't let me be like her...

NOTES: Yes, this is a story about abuse. No, I don't have personal experience. Yes, I am continuing to write this story despite that. So far, I've gotten positive responses for this from everyone who has read it, but I would actually like to see some criticism, too. Constructive, mind you. I can take advice.

TITLE:Drabbles of "Elle"

GENRE: Angst/Tragedy/Horror/Hurt/Comfort

WARNINGS: Violence, abuse, (possible) gore, insanity... many more warnings.

SUMMARY: Two minds, two people, one body. Two and two but one. Twitch. Elle. What...? And always, always, "Why?"

STYLE: Nearly disconnected drabble-type chapters. Third person; moves all around the timeline. Some chapters do not even appear to be related.

PROGRESS: TEN chapters uploaded. Currently written: Part one; 11/11 chapters. Written: complete.

NOTES: Mmmm... I love-love-love this one. Meet Twitch. And Elle. Get to know them. Now watch as I make you hate them. Wait, wait, wait... Now stop. I'll turn your world upside down.

EXTRA: I've divided this, so far, into Two parts. Part one: Drabbles of "Elle" and Part Two: Memories for "Twitch." I'm not sure just how long this is going to turn out to be. But as soon as I type up chapter 11 and upload it, I am going to change the status of Drabbles of "Elle" to "Complete" because this is only PART ONE.

SUMMARY: You know Twitch and Elle. But how much do you really know? What is missing? Shall I...tell you? Oh, you sweet child, you're still looking for the answers, aren't you? But you've got it wrong... you've got it all wrong. But I don't care. I don't care. I'll convince myself, one day, that I don't care.

STYLE: First person, Point of view: Twitch. Much easier to follow, in my opinion, and doesn't jump around as much. Most are in the form of memories or as if Twitch is talking to somebody; Talking to Elle.

PROGRESS: None typed. Chapters written: 9/??

NOTES: I'm pretty sure that there is going to be a part three, but I'm not sure. I'm not finished with part two, yet. Though the way this one is written is much better, and it's longer than Drabbles of Elle, too.
