22 years old, beginner historical fiction writer!

I have a BA in Economics with a minor in European History (concentrating on the medieval and early modern periods). My knowledge is based mostly in the Tudor era, though I am trying my luck at a Regency-based story right now!

My favorite writers include Charlotte Bronte, Jane Austen, Anya Seton, and Susan Higginbotham.

I hope you enjoy my first story, A Proper Acquaintance. I am rather uneducated in the Regency era, save reading a few Austen novels and watching BBC period dramas. I am currently using Daniel Pool's What Jane Austen Ate and Charles Dickens Knew: From Fox Hunting to Whist - The Facts of Daily Life in Nineteenth Century England for reference, but please forgive any errors in period etiquette that you come across!
