WELCOME TO THE BIO OF: MIND MELD!

The Scene: Two chairs behind a desk in a cheap imitation of a newsroom. One chair is occupied by CISCA, a short girl with long, light brown hair with some random blond highlights that are a result of spending too much time in the sun. She is bouncing around in her seat impatiently. The other chair is occupied by MEARA, a taller girl with short, messy reddish-brown hair. MEARA protests that her hair is blond with her summer highlights. CISCA wonders why MEARA wants to be a blond. Behind the camera is LAUREN, a short girl with wavy black hair who is waving her arms wildly to tell CISCA and MEARA to start.

CISCA: Hey! I’m Cisca! (Grins)

MEARA: (Mutters) Oh no. Here we go again.

CISCA: Welcome to the Mind Meld! Here my friend Meara and I post our stories that we write together. (Laughs)

MEARA: (mutters) And it begins. (Out loud) Since she’s currently more than a bit incoherent, I’ll take over. We post our stories here, for the edification and enlightenment of mankind. (Looks wise)

CISCA: (finally stops laughing) don’t mind her; she likes to speak in complicated language. The thing is, we’ve been writing this (giggle) story since 6th grade. And we’ve revised it so many times (giggle) that it’s sickening and if it isn’t good by now I will be very sad. Also (starts laughing again)

MEARA: (glares at Cisca) At least you’re not saying ‘editations’ anymore. And the cheesy bits were all your fault.

CISCA: (can’t reply owing to the fact that she’s laughing too hard)

MEARA: (rolls her eyes) Anyway, we post our stories here, as the laughing maniac mentioned earlier. They all take place in the magical kingdom of Kalir. Er, empire, I guess, since there’s an emperor… Yeah. Cisca writes the actual story, and I futz with it until it’s actually comprehensible. The screwin
