Author has written 7 stories for Young Adult, Historical, Mystery, and Essay. Nil Nimyah Aecila's Page of Literature Welcome, welcome, everyone. The truth is that I'm relatively new at this. However- I've been wanting to publish certain works of mine to get that elusive second opinion And through an actual site that has and abundance of stories and where I don't have to THINK OF fanfic ideas before I can write what I want. So sit back, and I hope you will (at least try to) enjoy my stories that I have painstakingly written. Oh... and try not to be too brutal in your criticisms. I'm rather fragile... and I need help above anything. Okay, so I have gathered that excerpts really aren't enough to explain my stories, so I'll go in chronological order: The Hart of the Problem Really a pretty lame story (if you can call it that), but I published (wrote) for the sake of publishing to the site so I'd have something here (like a placeholder). Most likely it'll just die that way--with one chapter and no reviews. I seriously want to delete it, but I think I need to keep it there as a reminder of how desperate I was to publish (eek!). Untitled Rose Talbot Tale This is the first story I've seriously written at my age (or within the last year and a half or so) and I devoted a lot of time to it. I don't really count INSPECTOR SLOANE a legit story since I've let it die--erm, and began to work on ROSE TALBOT's story. I KNOW what goes on and what characters are in it and who does what and the eventual outcome (but I won't spoil it by saying it's happy or sad!), but I'm having trouble fleshing it out as my life has taken a turn for the stressful worst and my mind is constantly clogged and I'm extremely busy (and stressing and procrastinating, amongst other things...). I KNOW I have typos and other mistakes within my "babies" (the stories I actually CARE about), but I'm just going to let those go for now. Untitled Inspector Sloane Story Inspector Sloane is my idea of a young man who is very intelligent and has a keen eye (observation, detail...). He's a cross between Sherlock Holmes and William Monk (for those of you who have read Anne Perry's Monk Series). Or, not really, but they are the inspiration--that deduction and attention to detail are what can get you through to the end instead of the forensic science that exists today. For me, that's more impressive (especially since they're ALWAYS RIGHT!!!). And I already had the case lined up and everything--the histories behind the characters and "whodunit", but I thought I should set up some sort of reputation for the good Inspector and I didn't plan THAT one out at ALL, so sorry, this one's on indefinite hiatus until I'm sure I can find a legitimate way to demonstrate his amazing abilities. (Hercule Poirot's inspirational as well, but a bit on the old side for me--or... I dunno, just not my type) King Arthur Novelization (My Take) This is my romanticized version of the tale. It's in its beginning stages (where I have an IDEA of what I'd LIKE to do, but not sure yet of what I am most definitely GOING TO do), and can be said to be in "Pre-Production" as they say about movies in its beginning stages. Good luck to all novelists and, (if all goes well) with your help I may even be gutsy enough to try to send in one of these precious babies of mine in manuscript form! But of course, I'll get a second opinion... third opinion... fourth opinion... and that can go on and on forever... but I'll see. Maybe when I'm 30 I'll decide to find a publisher (after numerous readers and editings and vigorous corrections/rewritings that are sure to ensue) but writing's not my first priority, so just try to enjoy my stories the way they are, in first draft form, for, after all... I am only an amateur. Yours, "ANN" New entry: Updated August 29th, 2006. If you feel like reading some of my (crappy) fanfics (before I stumbled upon to this site), here it is (in all their glory--but I have to say, my most successful fanfic to date (that I also, consequently, wrote at the peak of my English career--err at the time that is--it's the best worded and most descriptive in comparison to my other elementary fanfics (ANIMORPHS???)) that is based upon HIS DARK MATERIALS TRILOGY which is having the movie out sometime in the next couple of years or so, so yea...): "ANN's FANFICS" (just check 'em out!) I don't think it'll be TOO enjoyable, but it offers some variety. And the Word got messed up (the format, that is) when trying to move the documents over to fanfiction. I'll try to fix that up, though, to make the reading of it easier to understand. Thanks! "ANN" Until I update again! | |||||||||
