In a world of black and white
And a few patches of gray
I have lived, and will live
Feeling nothing, empty in soul

Wondering what lies beyond
Thinking when this will end
No agony, no pain
Just barren emptiness within

In a corner of my eye, I caught
A tiny glimpse of color and light
Just a flash of second, but I knew
I really saw it, that it was true

I turned around, to grasp it
Only to find I cannot move
My legs were long rooted down
I realized I was cursed to stay

If I lived a life of emptiness
I would not have been hurt so much...
Just one knowledge of the world outside
Filled my soul, tearing it away

Now I am haunted
By that glimpse of life
The thing that I know now
I've yearned for so long

Yet I cannot reach it.
May never see it again.
Silent tears stream down
Making a frozen casing around me.
