Author has written 6 stories for Fantasy, and Sci-Fi.

Welcome to my profile :) I am female, if anyone was wondering, and I am just out of college with a degree in geology. Many of my friends don't share my fascination with rocks and tease me about it at every opportunity. I've never seriously considered writing as a career partly because I've never thought I was good enough at writing, but also for other equally valid reasons. It's my hobby and what I do for fun. If it became what I had to do to make a living I don't think I would want to do it, and I would no longer have a hobby to fill the spaces in between work. Also my writing has always and ever been for myself. I started seriously writing in 8th grade because I wanted to read a good story but had already cleaned out the school and public libraries (I am a voracious reader, which is another reason I adore fictionpress).

I love a good story and so am something of a junkie when it comes to books, movies and anime. I'm also a big fan of music, and almost anything I do I have music playing in the background (usually the soundtracks from my movie and anime collection). A lot of my writing is done to music and often influenced by the mood of whatever I'm listening to. Other than that I enjoy knitting, sewing, and other thread based crafts, and I've been known to play the occasional video game. Mostly I enjoy such games for the same reason I watch so many movies and anime series: I love a good story.

Alright, I know you aren't here to read my rambling about myself so I'll stop there. However, if you do want to listen to me ramble more, feel free to PM me or use whatever electronic method suits your fancy for getting in touch with me. I'm always up for a chat with a fellow reader/writer. Only one more thing, I can't resist a shameless plug:

Another thing I do when I have free time and spare inspiration is draw. Mostly I draw characters from my stories, but I'll doodle just about anything out of my imagination. Since I now have access to a scanner I've been able to put a few of my drawings on DeviantArt. Feel free to check them out at http://sugarloafin.deviantart.com Currently I've uploaded drawings of several characters, not all introduced yet, from "And Wind Makes Fire Dance" and a drawing of a group of characters from "Project 16" as well as a bunch of unrelated things.

Recently I've also started jotting down fanfiction ideas that have been swirling in my head. Feel free to explore that end of my creativity as well at http://www.fanfiction.net/~sugarloafin So far I only have a few things up, but go ahead and take a look if you like.

Ok, plug over with. So read and review if you wish, constructive criticism is always appreciated. I would especially love some feedback on the later chapters of 'And Wind Makes Fire Dance.' No one's said anything about the last half of that story so I'm starting to wonder if I've lost my touch. If you review I will try to always reply and return the favor by reviewing something of yours. Knowing how much a review means to me, I try to give them out as much as possible. (Spread the love!) I do want to send a big thank you to everyone who has reviewed something of mine, you've all been such wonderful motivators. Thank you all!

Story Status (I'll try to keep this updated, but no promises)

In the Rhythm of the Newborn - Whoa. I updated it. Chapter 6 is up! Don't get your expectations up though, writing this one is going to go sloooow.

And Wind Makes Fire Dance - 37 is finished. I most fervently apologize for the wait. I wish I could say the next chapter won't take as long, but my life has recently been turned on it's head.

Project 16 - I finally made the updating rounds to this one! yay for 4

To Break The Line - I think I broke the line where I usually give up on stories, so maybe I'll manage to keep updating this. :)

Modified Souls - Now cut into (smaller) sections per reader request. Newly edited and (in my opinion anyways) better than before. :)

Crimson and Sand - Besides needing a better title and a massive rewrite...this was my attempt at 08 NaNoWriMo...I dislike it enough to not want to work on it, but like it too much to nuke it entirely. I'm debating whether I should leave it here or not. I guess it's not hurting anything to stay, but it's certainly not going anywhere either.
