Author has written 183 stories for Life, Friendship, Love, General, Nature, General, and Spiritual. .name: char 3.26.05 well i'm sort of winding down on the amount of stuff i write. i'm writing more for me now and i have a lot of stuff on my computer that i've stopped posting, mostly because i'm experimenting with my style of writing and a lot of them have the same feel and are about the same person. so basically, for every poem you see up here, there are roughly five or ten more that are sitting on my computer that i messed around with in ideas to get the final product. and even that isn't perfect, as i'm sure you can tell by reading. plus i figured it's pretty boring for you guys to read about the same person over and over again. 12.17.04 i just found some old poems i started and messed around with at the beginning of the summer, put my words to it now and i think they make very interesting mixes of emotions. it's funny how i can come back to something like that and the colors become more vivid from that time in my life. i'm still writing about the same old person all the time, i doubt that'll ever change. i'm trying to write about losing friendships but it's harder than i thought it would be, probably because the emotions so raw and untapped that it's too blount for me to use yet. i find that happening a lot these days. my emotions aren't as beautiful as they used to be. oh well, with one hundred fifty eight poems, i guess you guys have enough reading for a while, anyway. i've really been slowing down on poetry though. stupid school draining me of all my time and brain washing me to the point that i can tell you every supreme court case ever but i can't say something that will mean the world. funny how that works. 8.08.04 i think i have writer's block. darn. i have run out of things to write about. i guess that's the downside of having 132 poems. damnit. well, hopefully i new year at a new school with new people will give me plenty of...NEW things to write about. hmm. we'll see. but all the things i could write about right now, fresh from the beach, seem so petty and inane. there's nothing that hasn't been covered when writing about the waves pounding the shore, or the streching expanse of a sunlit sky. it seems pointless for me to try, yet it makes me sad that my most boring and predictable and least favorite work is that which gets the most reviews from you guys. oh well. 6.17.04/6.18.04 ONE YEAR!!! since i joined, and then since i first posted a poem. in that time i've gotten 106 things up here...which is sort of pitiful, i think. however, i didn't put all of my stuff up here so yeah i've definitely written more than just 106 things. enjoy what i have so far, and look foward to another year of lots of writing!!! 6.12.04 hit the 100 poems mark. i was gonna try and save it for the mark of one year since i got this thing, but i keep writing so much poetry that i know i'll have more by then. 6.08.04 i used to always write about stuff that happened to me, and a lot of the times the rhyme schemes i used were pretty confining. all the poetry on here was written within the past 3 years, but the vast majority of the poems from 6th grade aren't on here because, frankly, they sucked. every once in a while i had some good ones, and please forgive me for all the cheesy-rhyming-sappy stuff...what's a girl to do when she gets happy?! well anyway it's interesting to see me grow through this poetry. there are lots of different people this poetry about, and some of it is just about me, and some of it, as of late, has just been completely randomly insprired and i wrote it about something rather than someone (which is a rarity for me). so enjoy, with 95 and counting. My ideas on all poetry: I think anyone can write great poetry. Everyone has strong emotions, and that's all poetry is. Poetry is expressing yourself and those emotions. No one can fully put their exact feeling into words, and the closer they get, the better a poem is. That's because the closer it is to what you're feeling, the closer it is to being beautiful, because all emotion is beautiful. So have faith in what you are writing and if you love what you are writing it will show through and you can all write beautiful poetry. Good luck! | |||||||||
