About Me:

My name is Jill. I'm 21 years old and live in South Jersey, USA. I am currently a college Senior majoring in Literature with a Creative Writing track, and should be graduating in Ma of 2010. I eventually hope to obtain a Master of Fine Arts degree in Fiction.

About My Work:

My love for writing was born in seventh grade, when I began to fail math (my favorite subject until that time) and gain a passion for English. I wrote a few poems in that time, for school or otherwise, and was pleasantly surprised at how much praise I gained for my work. I began to envision a life as a paid poet (nearly impossible, I now know). I wrote a few extremely short stories as well, not liking them as much as the poems. In ninth grade, I began working on my first novel, finishing it in around five months. I've since rewritten that particular novel several times (the most recent version is currently on FictionPress - Mortality), and started many, many sequels, even finishing a few. I'm currently still working on the many sequels in the large Mortality and Immortality series, and writing shorter works and poems as they come to me.

Works of Mine that I Would Recommend:

The Shade of Eternity: This is a short story that I wrote for my Creative Writing class during my senior year. It deals with a concept called the Darkness, the place and substance beyond all other levels of reality. I had been wanting to write about the Darkness for years and currently consider "The Shade of Eternity" to be my best work. Reviews are much appriciated.

Delilah: "Delilah" is an extended short story with deals with many issues, including suicide and sexuality. It's the most...edgy thing I've written so far, and with the added supernatural twists, I'm very satisfied with it. At the moment, only the prologue and first chapter are posted. I plan to post the other six chapters and the epilogue as I recieve reviews.

Mortality: Mortality was my first novel, the beginning of a long series I'm currently still working on. I know that it could use some work as far as grammer goes, but I would appriciate any comments about what I do have. Tell me where I went wrong...or what I did right.
