Daystar Searcher chapter 1 . 8/2/2004
Holy mother of Roddenberry, that was powerful. Mysterious too. You said you would like other people to guess where it came from, so I guess a combination of a newspaper story of a girl killed by a mother (maybe father, but for some reason I'm thinking mother) and your own feelings of being held back by your parents. (Anywhere close?) By the way, have you ever thought of making this into a story? That would be really cool and haunting.

Hmm, I like this. It kinda reminds me of something but I can't think of it right now. ;;;
Neko-chan1 chapter 1 . 12/12/2002
While I was reading this, a lot of things came to mind. But the thing that was most prominent was a father, trying to keep his daughter safe from the world...but ends up losing her, anyway.

I'm probably wrong, ne? -.-

But this was a wonderful piece of work, though. My eyes started to cloud up when I read the last line. It seems so bittersweet and yet so comforting at the same time. (And, knowing me, I'm getting the message completely messed up.) But, amazing and lovely poem, anyway.

I liked it. I like the concept behind it and understand it :) Good job.
Fuuchan chapter 1 . 11/20/2002
I like this poem. I especially like the last line and the '...' before it. It makes it seem conversational. It seems to me it's about parents sheltering their little girl...
Jill Elyse chapter 1 . 11/16/2002
Well, it sounds something like giving up virginity, but then I don't think it is about that. I'll have to think about this one some more...
