I feel like adding some mindless lord of the rings quote so take no heed

'The world is changed; I can feel it in the water, I can feel it in the earth, I can smell it in the air.'

| Elf-Maiden of Mirkwood chapter 1 . 11/17/2002
Hmmm...I suppose I was incorrect in assuming that you are a Christian. This poem really touches upon a place of remorse in my heart, for it reminds me of the despair and folly that people will allow themselves to fall into, believing that there is no hope. It reminds me of Darwin's theory of survival of the fittest. I truly detest that theory, and everything that it encompasses, because it portrays to us the idea that some of us were meant to have wonderful lives and other weren't. I know that the theory is speaking of physical evolutional advantages, but it provides a sort of analogy to the spiritual battle that the blind man seems to be experiencing. I pray that your outlook on life is not the same as your poem expresses. We may live in a fallen world, and life may seem destitute, but I must witness to you in saying that there is hope, and it does not come from some hapless and deceiving religion. It comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a journey with Him down the path of light. I'm not one of those people that believes that life is a piece of cake. There are obstacles, but through the grace of God we can all overcome them.
