Reviews for Brother Sun, Sister Moon |
---|
![]() ![]() Went through your whole story in three days. Some amazing stuff.. I hope it did get published eventually. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Damn, what a story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() You are a Writing God. That's all I have to say. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Gosh, where to begin? Saying that your story is mind-blowing incredible does not state all that I feel about Brother Sun, Sister moon. This story had me hooked from just the title alone. You're such an inspiration to me (in a very non-stalker way) and the type of writer you are is what I want to be. My father doesn't believe that writing is stable career, and my mother-bless them both-may say it's my decision, but I know that she doesn't truly support it. This story...what can I say? I stayed up all night to finish it; I couldn't pull myself away from it! Have you ever read a story that you knew you couldn't forget and so badly wished that you had that author's abilities? You are one of those writers to me. I could literally write ten-hundred reviews, all of them five-thousand words each, and still feel the need to praise your story. I love it so much that I had to re-read it, twice! I'm not really sure what I want to do for the rest of my life, but I know that if I can, I'd want to be as great a writer and person as you. When (yes, when, because not doing so is a CRIME) you publish Brother Sun, Sister moon, don't be surprised if I'm one of the first to buy a copy, even if it means emptying my wallet. All in all, since I'm being WAY too wordy, just know that you're an inspiration to me and that you've just helped me get over my writer's block. Thanks endlessly for writing this amazingly unforgettable story, and good luck with whatever you wish to do next! |
![]() ![]() I know that among your boundless reviews this one shall seem to disappear. In all my wanderings; either trying to find a decent story that at least had the possibility of being well written or just trying to find a decent story; I have found this gem. Yet unlike a gem this work of art is near priceless among the heaps of trash some authors would deem as literary work. I would like to thank you for allowing me to read this. It is funny to note that even when you were writing Brother Sun, Sister Moon I was as entranced with you words as I am now. Heck, I have this address saved in at least 3 different places! I have even passed on this gem to friends who I know will enjoy your work as much as I have. I know that by now you have gone over this story and edited it, but even the minute errors that you have passed over ( and the are minute and VERY VERY far between ) detract nothing from the whole. I do hope that you get published, actually I'll wish for it if need be, just so that I could actually own a copy. There is only one other story that has entranced me as yours does, and the telltale marks on it's spine, covers and pages tells volumes. (Elizabeth Kerner, Song in the Silence just for your interest should you have any). Thank you again, and you will hear from me again as I will be reading the rest of your works. You are amazingly talented. -eclipse |
![]() ![]() I read your story for the first time about two years ago. I always meant to review, but when I finally did sit down to write a review, I could never think of anything to say. I mean, where to start? It's beautiful. The intricacy of the whole thing is amazing. It gave me hope for my own story, because I also have a complex political plot that can sometimes be daunting to write without giving away too much. In addition, your characters' voices are very clear. Even though I haven't looked through the text in a very long time, I can still remember all the characters vividly. I love Aurion's cat. :-) You did a good job of writing a fairy tale (-ish) without making it overly cliche and sappy. In fact, it isn't cliche or sappy at all-it's very original. I've never read anything else like it. It got me hooked from the very beginning-I stayed up until four in the morning to read it despite having the flu and a standardized test to take when the sun came up. I think you should publish this. Seriously, it's incredible. I would buy it. -Kel Khelekkir |
![]() ![]() ![]() I LOVE IT! |
![]() ![]() ![]() wow. I finished this in exactly two days. I loved it. I have never seen a story with quite so many chapters as yours. that's the initial reason that I read it. I wanted something to keep me busy for a minute. Unfortunately, this story grabbed me, and wouldn't let me do anything else until it's completion. As I previously said, I finished it in two days. I read another story on , and one of it's chapters resembled a book in itself. It had 34/35 chapters, and it took me around two weeks to finish it. your chapters are shorter but, I really really loved every moment of this book. Are you going to publish this? sometimes, I think of different books that I've read that would be good as movies. Yours would not. this isn't a bad thing. Because, I believe that turning this in to a movie would take away so much from this book. so much of the feeling would be lost, the emotions, the essance of the story wouldn't be captured if it were a movie. I just don't think it would work. Not at all.I'd still go and see it if it did come out in the theaters but, I would be so disappointed. Because nothing could capture this book like you wrote it. Nothing could ever capture the love between the two of them. Nothing could ever hope to pass itself off as a coppy of what you have done.I really loved this.I should remove everything else on my favorites list and keep you up there. hahaha... I still love my other stories though. I've grown atatched to them. I really loved ,Nicole |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hi. I wanted to write this down before I forgot. This is already finished. I loved every single chapter that I have read so far. I'm not done yet but, I'm going to be in just a littel while.I wanted to tell you that this chapter was beautiful. It may seem weird to think something like this beautiful but, it was. It had signifficence and I really loved ... Going to read the next chapters. I will review again at the 79th |
![]() ![]() was aurion an albino? |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was an amazing chapter; I can see that this one really did touch your heart (as it did mine… I was waiting for her to admit that.)…It’s amazing that throughout this story I have seen your hard work and dedications to it… and it just is a wonderful example of what someone can do with an idea… -Kit |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have to say, at first this story was hard to get into, for me, but once I was into the flow of how you wrote this I just could not stop reading! If it was in book for it would be a really page-turner for me. I found I had to force my self to stop reading so I could give you review. -Kit |

![]() ![]() Hi there. This is the first story i am reading off this site, and i must say, i am pretty pleased by my choice so far, although i must admit to choosing this story to begin with only because of its numerous reveiws. I really like the "voice" of the story, the new information of the world isnt all squeesed into a few paragraphs, as i have seen in countless other have given us a few mysteries to ponder ( which i also love) and you have a wonderfull way of discribing things, i can see the images in my head, and the fact that you can do this without being to "wordy" is another tick for you great work. i truly look foward to reading more of this story ummhafsa |
![]() ![]() ![]() good story! |
