look like crucifixes" Robert Cormier wrote in his book 'The Chocolate War' that the goalposts looked like crucifixes. Is this where you got that?

uncurled and the boy in his bedroom, watching maps stay still-
I am picturing Monroe as Little Red Riding Hood-
I am picturing Ernest Hemingway being earnest
Ah God! I love that whole stanza. Ah...this entire thing is simply filled with beauty, with cynicism, with truth. Wow. God, this is amazing.

Oh, I'm ashamed to say I didn't know you wrote original pieces.
This is a lovely thing, with a beautiful language and a compelling air about it.
"and want something truer" This line did it for me. A dreamer's death, yes.
