This is powerful. I don't know much about the Hindu faith, but I think i might do a bit of research on Kali now! I like the idea of a slightly feminist godess (to put it in horribly western terms). Thanks!

By the Goddess Herself this poem is brilliant. You perfectly capture the Divine Mother, Her power and Her dual nature, both as the nurturing mother and terrible devourer. Wonderful imagery, perfectly utilizing Her most common symbols. I loved your treatment of the subject and manner of writing. Keep it up!

I like this poem very much. I've always had a fascination with Kali and I even have quite a bit of jewelry with her image on it. I like the images you present and the intense feeling of the poem. Don't laugh, but I even have dreams, dark ones, about Kali (Kali-Ma, Kali-Yuga, the Dark Mother). They are extremely intense, vivid, and I remember every one of them. Sorry, didn't mean to ramble or scare you. Anyway, keep up the great work. Merry meet and merry part.

Wow, that's morbid. Sorry, I don't have much knowledge of the Hindu religion. Was it suppose to rhyme or just be free words? Either way is okay.
