I enjoyed this chapter, I'm not sure I would call it a filler as such, it seemed more of an introduction for Sean and some more defining of Madison's changes. One critque is that there aren't any indicators of a change in time. Just one more space, would make that more evident and easier to read. Great chapter, and story so far. I look forward to reading the rest. ;)

To have your first kiss from someone who just threw up... ughhh! The boy deserves to have his mother come home and find that mess.

That was ugly. At least Kory told her the truth. It is sad when guys make a habit of using people to get what they want. Had he simply been nice in earnest, then he might have ended up with a beautiful girlfriend who truly cared about him.

Oh well. It was good that she discovered the truth when she did.

Why do I suspect that it will be Madison and Kory in the end? Maybe I'm wrong. Zack could definitely win the day, but the two don't seem right. You are doing an excellent job with developing the story. The pacing is good, the characters feel real, and most are likeable (except for the ones who shouldn't be).

I am curious about what will happen when Seth returns from the horse trip. His girlfriend sounds like a real whiner, which wouldn't impress most guys. He may return with his eyes opened and looking for a different type of girl.

I would have jumped at the idea of the horse trip, but that is just me. Allergies provided the perfect catalyst for throwing her into the presence of two guys, alone, for the entire week. Oh boy!

As I suspected: Madison is actually beautiful. Did she not know this because she hid behind bookish habits and a mop of hair? Or is she only now beginning to attain her true beauty (that happens in my family. The girls tend to blossom late and then they all turn into stone foxes).

Oh, how cruel irony can be. Her "prince" turns out to be the boyfriend of her arch-enemy.

The one scene at the gas station was very frightening. It make you wonder how often something like that takes place on the road.

That would have been a fun scene to watch. It would have been funnier if Kacey had ordered the desert for her... that would have been true irony.

I was a little confused about the forks. How was she ending up with so many? Besides the extras that she requested, she must have collected the forks from others at the table. But if Kory was doing the same, how did they get so many? Sorry for being dense.

What were they intending to do with the forks?

Okay, you're doing a great job of keeping me laughing. I'm in a public setting here, so could you back it off a little! Okay, just joking. The scene at the counter was excellent. It couldn't have gone much worse unless the boy cashier had to call out for a price-check on a bra or something.

It is beginning to appear that her self-appraisal is not quite accurate. I am curious about what she truly looks like.

I loved the list. Very creative. I laughed during several parts, but most of all when she finally gave in and wrote the fiftieth resolution.
