Wow. Just wow. I like the doubling of the first and last stanza, and how clearly I can relate to the narrator, for I am an insomniac writer as well. Very good, and getting favorited.

Lovely poem, I can definitely relate to this as I'm a bit of a night-owl myself. Night is the only time I can find some peace to sit down and write whatever comes to mind without being interrupted. I also find it a very inspirational time, what with the moon and stars to gaze upon. Anyway! Great work, keep writing :)

Yep, I'm seeing where you're coming from, although it sounds like you're a lot more dedicated than I am. Very effective poem.

i liked your poem. it made me smile, as i can relate very much to it. it has a good flow. however, it was broken by the line

"A professional author someday"

the line was too specific, which ruined the mood of the poem. i dont know if you understand what i mean..

nonetheless, it's a very good poem. i thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
