It is one of the great mistakes of Davis that he replaced Johnston with Hood. Had he not done that the Confederacy very well might have won the war. Instead Hood (who was a very good Division and Corps commander) bleed the Army of Tennessee dry in failed attacks in the span of a few weeks, after which he was too weak to stop Sherman's terrorist activities in Georgia and South Carolina.
Johnston deserved more from history than a foot note. Good poem.

I love the poem. How good of you to write for him. Johnston is one of my favorite generals of the war. Thanks to you and your brother.
