wow, this is a really good story. i like it, especially the little part at the end.

Very compelling imagery. I have to confess it took two readings for me to be sure I knew what was going on.

Reminds me of the Tell-Tale Heart.

The imagery in this is absolutely fantastic. You really draw the picture in the reader's mind. The pace is well set and you don't ruin the punch by revealing too much too soon. There's a lot of subtle symolism that adds many layers to the meaning. A person could read this multiple times and catch something new every time. You can alomst smell the alcohol on his breath, almost feel the fuzziness in your own mind as he slowly remembers the events. This is very emotional, very dark. Well written.
