Oh god, oh god, oh god. I want to cry. Beautiful, just beaautiful! I loved this so so so much! Stine's so perfect, and good! even if he try to look like he's not.

Tired of the pretty boy, jock, Greek God male interests in the stories you're reading? Want something that focuses around guys that are different and maybe (for some) isn't the type of guy you may normally look at with interest? Then look no further than He Punks Me Not.

Charisse 'Riz' Dently is a normal teenage girl. Normal meaning she's the type of girl you see everyday: blonde, a bit preppy, parents that may be a tad overprotective, and crushing on a guy from a far. Not uncommon with most teenage girls. The only thing different her crush, Oz, is in the punk/goth crowd. While the jock friends of her popular cousin have their eye on her and hope to catch hers, Riz is only mesmerized by the pierced, tattooed, smoking Oz. She even goes to the extent of getting her tongue pierced, behind her parents' backs, hoping to impress him. However, when Oz and his friends acknowledge her existence (cordially or otherwise), his viciously blunt green-haired best friend, Stine, does everything in his power to scare her away. But soon she sees another side to Stine. A side that makes her feel alive, even if she still has her sights set on Oz.

There is some iffy grammar/sentences, and spelling errors throughout the story. Sometimes, I felt like the characters where a bit immature, naïve, or downright bratty. However, it was slidewhow's first story on Fictionpress, and towards the end of the story, a majority of the characters had evolved. Depsite a few incidents, I felt there was more Riz obsessing over Oz than a developing relationship between her and Stine: and even when they were sort of a couple. Which made my heart just ache and adore Stine all the more.

Bittersweet ending and all, He Punks Me Not shows that you should never judge a book by it's cover, because you'll never know what's underneath.

This is seriously the only story on this whole website with a satisfying kissing scene! i freaking loved it! but then they don't even get together in the end?): wtf! i really wish you would create a sequel, but since you haven't even been on your profile in two years i'm gonna say that's kind of an impossibility): but i would totally read it. just saying. haha anyways.

i hope you do decide to at least tell us how they end up, even if it's just a short little paragraph. i would be completely fine with that. because this ending kind of depressed me. haha

I have read this story long back but its stil afresh in mind. I felt bad for Stine and Riz! But it was really wonderful story.
Great work. Please do write a sequel with them. Will be waitin! :)

I've actually read all of this but I'm reviewing the first chapter... But hey! I just wanted to say I really liked this story... I just wished the ending to it was less open ended! But yeah... I really liked this and I think it was really really good and stuff. :) and I read your a/n and you said there could be a sequel...That was in 06 though...so I doubt there's gonna be one...but I can hope, right?

There's a weird part of me that's hoping Riz and stine ... Meh

I'm kind of sad Stine and Rizzy didn't work out :( not going to lie , as I was reading , I felt like I was reading some sort of Valley girl tale . lol . It was a great nonetheless :) Stine is an interesting character . Charming as all hell too , when he's not being an asswipe . Rizzy was super dramatic , but that's to be expected from a sixteen year old girl , huh ? But you know who my FAVORITE character was ? Lash Lash Lancey Pants 3 oh my god , I love him ! He's a breath of fresh air . I love how he defended Cassie , then bounced back to his ADD self . Honestly , I knew Oz and Riz wouldn't work out , 'cause the main character never gets the person they're lusting after . Kind of annoyed the shit out of me that he was cool about everything . Like , 'your hair is on fire' , 'whatever . I'll deal.' uh -_- anywho ... This story had me cackling like a witch in each chapter :) I hope you find the inspiration to write again ! 333

I'm happy. Definitely happy. I love the ending. I totally understand why StinexCharisse didn't happen, but I still love the ending. It makes sense. People can't forgive each other that easily, and it wouldn't have made any sense if Stine did forgive her just like that. But I also really like the way the ending gives us hope, like these two people are meant to be SOMETHING to each other. The graduation was a perfect scene to demonstrate how everybody was growing up and moving on - Stine seems to react to Charisse a lot more maturely. I kinda want the happy ending too, but I like this open ending too. The beginning of this story was really shaky, but the ending really tied it up.

Three words: That. Was. Awesome.

Two words: I. Cried.

One word: SEQUEL.

Honestly this is one of my favorite stories on this site. It is fantastically written and has an excellent plot. It's amazing! Please keep writing.

I just wanted to add that in my mind I like to assume they met up again down the road at some point, got reconnected, and one day married with kids. Yup, that's what I think happens in the future after all this lol XD

But it's not true. You are the author and therefore have the final say in what happens. I just want it to be true (

I started reading your story again after all this time. I absolutely HATE her in this chapter for what she did to Stine! Oh my God. How could she for even a moment think of Stine as second? I remember reading this chapter forever ago and feeling the exact way I feel now, angry at her!

Poor Stine. I feel so sorry for him. I really loved these two together. I know you haven't written in awhile and probably never plan on this, but IF you ever posted a continuation of this story I would read it in a heartbeat. That's all I wanted to say. You are a wonderful writer. Your story will forever remain in my favorites list )
