This was haunting and beautiful. You managed to convey so much in this short story.

i think this peice was really beautifully written...even though it's short you managed to develop your characters well...it's hard to capture what a mother would do for her child, the bond they share when faced with such a fate and i think you portrayed it very nicely. the repitition pulled the story to together from beginning to end

I love the ending. It's very subtle and gorgeous. Oh, I love the rest as well. Normally longish stories are hard to read on computer but this is unputdownable.
