My views on Konah's mother... If she is as important as you mentioned her to be. I was thinking that maybe she would be like a mother figure for Saraia since more than likely her own mother is gone and in such a horrid place she would need someone to go to. At age fifteen, I doubt a girl could be wise enough to know what do to and so on and so forth. Konah's mother could also be say, the match-maker, in some sort. She could show Saraia a world she never knew existed living under the king. Maybe Konah's mother could have been one of the king's mistress or something awhile back but now she is a respected woman in the castle. She could teach the young girl how to prevent the king from going to her so often or what not, take care of her like a mother would, teach her, all that stuff. On the match making part, she could unconsciously reveal to Saraia the side of Konah that she would not have seen otherwise, thus leading to something if that was what you had planned. Well, that was what I was thinking of when you brought up Konah's mother. Oh, you know something, my sister was talking to me the other day about a movie she saw years ago (she's an avid reader and loves romance movies and novels) and it had the main character girl pregnant by the main character guy (but in your story you can have it be the king since he did do her and there was no such thing as birth control) and one day when she got really angry the girl tried to take the baby out herself (i woudl so understand if you're anti-abortion and don't want to put it coz i am too, but it makes for a great plot). Just a suggestion, but not many stories have that really, not most would go where you went. They probably would have had the hereo bursting through the doors and saving the girl before she was so horribly raped by the king. So I dunno, Konah could come in and find her, save her, but still have her lose the baby. He could take her to his mother. I'm gonna shut up now. Hehehe. I'm realizing now that it is your story and not my own. So I do apologize if my comments are not wanted. Oh, if the king is a king, where's the queen? Oh, please don't let her be mean! It is just... overly cliche for a mean queen, but don't make her overly nice either, that's also cliche. Everything seems cliche really. You know, here's a thought, I just went over the first chapter and maybe you should have someone from her family be alive! Her brother! That'd be kewl. But for a really touching story, maybe the girl shouldn't have friends for awhile. The servants could hate her because she's treated special by the king. Ah, okay... I'm gonna stop.. not that I want to coz i could go on forever, but because it's time for me to be so fresh and so clean. Hehehe. I hope you don't mind my comments yo!

OMG! That is so.. dispicable! How can the king be so vile? Oh, Konah. Now, he should have done something, even though that would have meant he would have had his head cut off, but the king.. dare I say it.. raped the girl! Gr! But she's a strong girl. I would have rather commited suicide. [sigh] Konah's mom should play a part in the story. It would be really nice, ya know. Have her be like the savior for the girl and all or something.
