I love the way this was written, with the vivid descriptions and the twist you put on it. I had to go back to the beginning to grasp that death had brushed upon your main character when she was younger. Really well done! Keep writing :)

oh, i had the faint impression her Lover was an intangible being.

"Before he could clasp my fingers, however, some of the medical staff chased him away from my room, believing he meant to do me serious harm. As he was being ripped away from my bedside..." 'ripped' was an interesting word to use there. sounded like he was a presence rather than an actual human.

the story itself was woven with beautiful imagery & a wonderful plot.

I was reading your profile and decided I'd check this out, because your prose is lovely. I was wondering about the identity of the mysterious "soulmate" all throughout the story- and even though I was expecting a real twist, I had no idea he was Death. Honestly, this is depressing, but I still think it's beautiful. Wonderful job, and please keep writing.

Now, as for feedback: you could have dragged that chapter into a full fledged story if you wanted to, but you may only have wanted to make this story a chapter long or you have more to add. I love the wording and the stlye, it was amazing and the story itself was compelling. WRITE MORE!

That absolutely blew my mind. First of all, I must recognize that the details in your story were beautifully written (i.e. mild breeze tingles with the fragrance of my bouquet of jasmines, etc.) Second, it is a most surprising ending. I had to read it twice, to tell you the truth, before I fully understood it. One thing, though, she first met her "husband" when she was four years old. That's a bit strange, honestly. It's just my opinion, but in my mind I was imagining a 30 year old man and a 4 year old girl. I just thought it was kind of weird. Although I do know what you were trying to say, that it was her first "brush with death."
So, again, I thought it was a flowing, well put together piece. Congratulations.

This is wonderful! It drew me into the story and kept me reading it, unlike a few stories where there is no wanting in my heart to read more after the first few lines. But this did! It is very enigmatic, mysterious, original, yet familiar at the same time. It is very sweet, simple yet complex story, and I love the ending where he explains how he knows they were destined to be together - it is so incredibly creative and original! Wonderful job, but I have come to expect this of you!

Heya :D. I really like this! It's very well written, and you've got a great style...I realyl like it a lot...I suppose bits are self-inspired? OK, call me weird but I did think it was Death she was talking about...as obviously the person had to be magical and this didn't sound like a story in which you'd make up your own magical character and then well...for people who suffer and are depressive...it brings comfort, no? Anyway VERY cool story, I really enjoyed reading it, write more! Love, Mia
