Hmm, I like the poem, but your analogy is a little goofy. You already know that fire kills/hurts ANYBODY that contacts it. However, you don't know that about religion; you've gone about this too subjectively, not objectively.

I don't get it. Are you saying that religion is the killer, not the lack of it. You might want to be a little bit more clear with your point. Other then that, great poem!
