Hey, I really like this poem! Ya, the poem you read, "When I Look to the Sky" was originally from a poem I wrote last year it was about how I used to fly airplanes, when I was a cadet... This morning I saw that poem and was... "reinspired." I didn't know Train had a new song, lol, I'll have to look that up _
Thanks for reviewing, even if it was bittersweet.

I really like the last paragragh, awesome.

At first this made me think of Thumbalina (how ever you spell it), but then I realized I had it all backwards. It's not this little girl as big as your thumb that can rest on flower petals, but rather one that wishes she could.
I don't like the idea that the only bright spots are boys, new clothes, and mascara, but... That's growing up. And it's all portrayed in a very beautiful, but bittersweet light, which is the way it is.
The first and last stanzas are wonderful, and everything in-between evens it out.

What an interesting way of describing growing up. Wonderfully observed and described as always.
