I am totally heart swooning over this story. My heart can't take this much. I love the way she chided herself for being childish, for dealing with the hurt even thought people around her said otherwise. Shows a self aware protagonist, not the one driven by rage

I thought it was cute. I agree that the ending was a little rushed, but ohh well.
"My dad woke up and was not delighted to find his daughter up in the early hours of the morning… he still thinks I'm nine years old and should be in bed before ten. " I thought that was funny. I remember those days well. My bedtime was 10 all through high school. Both hated and loved it. Loved it when I had triple practice (Monday, Wednesday and some Fridays) and was too tired to do anything when I got home and looked forward to 10 so I didn't have to do homework anymore, hated it every other time. Now that I'm in uni I willingly go to be at 10. Funny how that works, eh?
