I usually read the paragraphs a few times, but since I usually can't get past it, I delete those paragraphs and re-write the scene. And I usually don't have problems starting a story, just continuing it.

Hm...sounds like a good idea, if you can't come up with the next idea in a plot. However, it doesn't exactly help in coming up with the first idea for a story or a poem. However, it might be helpful in some situations. I would like to thank you for being thoughtful enough to post helpful suggestions online. It speaks volumes about your character. Thanks. )
