Have you read "Oranges are not the only Fruit" by Jeannette Winterson, btw? 'Cause just with all the religion and stuff, it's quite similar.
Good story though, not one I would generally read, but I might even continue till the end. I like the way it's heading, although Mary does annoy me slightly. Anyway, it's good :-).
