Reviews for Hey Hannibal |

![]() ![]() ![]() I barely ever review on here, but I loved the shit out of this. It sounded sort of hip hoppy almost. Being blasphemous in style :). |
![]() ![]() ![]() I dont believe in any religion (I'm pretty much agnostic) so, I'm going to be putting your poem on my favorite's list just because i really like it. *grin* |
![]() ![]() ![]() -Snort- Brilliant poem. I rarely ever read poetry on fictionpress, because the majority of it is silly angst-ridden teenagers complaining the most stupid things. But, this was lovely, written well, and I'm fond of this:"I waited for the fear I’d feel in your name. I waited for the change, but it never came. And when I left that church, I felt relieved: A hundred percent certain I didn’t believe." Since, that's about exactly what I felt when my parents would drag me to church after much complaining from me. xx; I'd sit there, waiting to be "taken in by christ", but I feel nothing. Again, brilliant. 70\/3,-Adrian |
![]() ![]() Wow, awsome poem. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I've never liked poetry. In fact, I've always had this deep seated anger towards it - mainly because everywhere you turn, someone's writting it. And usually it turns out to be some angst ridden crap about how they're trying to get over their partner dumping them, how their hearts are broken... over and over and over, the same thing every time. And as you can tell, I'm not talking about the poem I am reviewing... This is... well, I could say anything and someone else probably would have said it before. So... \m/ |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, I like it. The last is my favourite line. I have to confess, I only read this poem because of the title. *grins* I'm a fan of the Good Doctor. ;) By the way, you have great taste in music. I adore The Cure. Keep writing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() It's good, but I don't agree. It sounds so defensive its like you ARE afraid. Um, and how cum your 'faith' is revoked by mother and daughter being raped? Jesus didn't rape them. Please explain more. And as far as I know, 'Maryrdom' is not a person's decision to die for their faith to make a statement - For christians, it's great to help others to faith, but its most important to serve and in everything glorify God - therefore, dying because they wouldn't renounce God's name or cause is about their relationship with God, not how much they help others. And what lies did Jesus speak? And how did he bring people to their graves - and in the eternal sense too? I hope this makes sense. anyway its good hearing other peoples opinions and stuff - keep writing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() E! I *love* it! Abso-fucking-lutely perfect! *bows down and worships you* You are now my official jesus. Umm... *ponders* or maybe not, considering. But honestly, that's *exactly* what I've felt forever now. It makes me feel all warm and gooey inside. Alright if I copy a part of it to put on my DeadJournal, if I credit you for it? Ten gold stars for you! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I agree, and it's very well-written. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah for religious satire and downplaying. By the way, thanks for reviewing my work. |
![]() ![]() ![]() nice poem. I'd say more but your poem leaves me speechless. |
![]() ![]() ![]() *Evil weasel laugh* I love it. I've been dying to parody some of the 'Passion' crap people keep sticking to the walls around here, but haven't yet summoned the courage to see the movie. My great fear is that I'm going to laugh at, like, the first nail going in, and my suburb will rise up and slaughter me. The beginning of this is great and I totally agree. You have a touch of the 'god's-betrayed-us' angst that I typically recoil from, but it's over quickly and doesn't really harm the poem. Your martyrdom couplet is fantastically true; I've never heard it put better. This is going on my favorites. Slap a dead person, SLH |
![]() ![]() ![]() You can think whatever you want about the movie but you aren't going to change my views and regardless of what you say I'm still going to believe. On a good note this is very well written just I don't believe what you write! Lol, I find it funny that Saint Anger won't cuss online or say Jesus's name. Its like she is scared. Well very well written but I don't believe anything that is in here. Keep up the good work though. queerrommance |
![]() ![]() ![]() That's quite a moving piece of poetry, please keep up the good work! It's good that you got inspiration through "The Passion" |
