Based on the summary alone I thought this story was going to have a tragic ending. I’m usually not one for stories that have song lyrics in them. I often end up skimming the whole story in those cases because they aren’t important if I read them or not. But I really enjoyed how the lyrics you made up actually mattered in the progression of the story. It really helped build up the tension. It was especially chilling when Elic had left on the note “Figure it Out.” I admit I had no idea that Elic would end up being the last person Kara had slept with while she was drunk. But just as I was readying myself for one of those cliché admiring-from-afar endings that always end up tragic, Elic pulls the whole “I don’t want to lose you again!” Cue me going into a fangirly spasm. I’m such a sucker for happy endings! I’m glad you choose to end it this way instead of having them remain as strangers!

Mn, I don't like seeing this kind of thing at all. Especially when the person in question is a relatively good writer themselves. I suppose you can probably guess what I'm about to say next based on that last line: it's pretty obvious.
