Aww, that was sweet :) I'm glad she wasn't just blowing him off. The wedding dreams were funny, lol, and I felt bad for him waiting there. Great story!

That was really really cute. I saw it as more funny than sad, and boy did it remind me of quite a few times in my life when I've gone through the same thing. BTW, I loved how you began with that detailed description of the phone; it really grabbed my attention, set the scene and focused the story right at the beginning.
The intensity of a crush like that was very well described, and especially Charlie blowing up a phone call into a happy future of marriage and a white picket fence.
Too bad Charlie missed out, but it could still have a happy ending.

SO SAD! Oh my gosh, Rick, you nearly made cry...poor Charlie! At least she did call though, and it was a cute ending :)
