|Reviews for Silk Blade|
| Eirien chapter 1 . 6/17/2004
On my God, this has really touched my heart. I can relate so well. You perfectly express the ambiguity of "hating it, loving it", to quote a friend of mine (who also uses that wonderful image of "caress" in this context"), already in that wonderful title "Silk blade", the paradox in this, how a blade could be silken, and yet it's so true. I like the way you address the blade and personify it, it fits really well to the urge of craving release from it. Also the short lines and imperatives and broken sentences are very effective. A powerful, great poem, its urgency strikes directly at the heart.
You might find some similarities in my haiku collection "Blood". (Don't know if you're into haikus...)

that was very...i donno. i dont think words can really express anything on this topic. i thought it was a good poem, and a good insight to cutting. we'll leave it at that.
but i will be reading more of your work!
