This is beautiful poem...well-written. So many times I've wanted to fly myself. The only thing I can say about this is that I think there is no 'h' in Icarus. Other than that, gorgeous.

Well-written. Intriguing. Fluid. Love the reference to Icharus. Also love the kenning "breath-beat" - two incredibly different words put together to become an incredibly descriptive word. This is a fav!

Interesting. I've never thought of the story of Icharus that way. I was always told the story from the point of view that Icharus was foolish. But in this poem, it makes it sound beautiful. I loved the last two lines, they ended the poem nicely. Beautiful poem.
