this is a little odd, but quite good. There seems to be some rhyming at the ends of lines, which i usually don't like, but you work the rhyming in so well, it's very subtle and actually adds a nice touch. Well done!

hey! I know this is quite tardy of me, but you r/red part of one of of my stories! ("Twelfth Year"...that horribly cliche and long, boring story...-_-) lol. I don't suppose I ever said thank you... so thank you!
Also, (now to actually review like I'm supposed to) I liked this. I have no idea why I do this, but when I read a poem I automatically start "rapping" it in my head. Not in the hip-hop sense, but...I add a beat and bob my head. It's retarded. But anyways, the meter and flow was good and it was obvious some emotion when into this.
