| Platypi chapter 1 . 8/19/2004
From your summary, I was thinking to be about to read a typical rant about the very messed up years of adolescence written by a youngin' without full command of the English language. Instead, I was treated with a piece that has a distinct voice calling out to me, the ultimate skimmer, "Read every word!" The examples you bring up are not extraordinary, but the first one especially ("Everyone wants to be first in line; no one wants to be first") is succintly put and an atypical observation. The best part about this piece is, hands down, the conservational voice.
You meant "at this point," not "from this point," at the end, if I'm not mistaken.

that really showed the true spirit of a middle schooler.
