| Rubyme chapter 2 . 4/11/2006
This was quick and mysterious, just like the first chapter.
Completely, and utterly unnecessary but I liked it.

I loved it, as many kids would have done the same thing as him if in that situation.. but I want to know more.

Wow What a great ending! I really enjoyed this. The ending is fabulous, though I do :( unfortunately have a critisism. Firemen - they wouldn't say that...the fire would have been thoroughly investigated...it is the law. But anyhow (and this is where the tone gets lighter) it does in no way effect the piece and is overall a very good wrap up to conclude the story. Well done - such an interesting and vivid piece - which could have been wrote in a few lines - but prolonged with the vivid descriptions and feelings etc (eg - of the boy). Congratulations! David

This was beautiful. Although, he was getting burnt and it is a tragedy of someone setting fire (I can't read the next chapter yet am going out read it later) and maybe even dying. But you made the reader see it through the eyes of the protagonist, see the real beauty of it. It was simply amazing. Well done! David

so deep. obsessions can be both the greatest and stupidest things in our lives. i like how you showed that the fire took over the guy's better judgement because to him, it was too beautiful to put out. good job. even the epilogue rocked.
