Reviews for Different, Yet the Same
Manuel Fajar chapter 1 . 3/24/2005
It's past noon and day starts to overcast,

The hours have measured and hammered to wood,

Took a break from level and plumb to eat,

Put sprouting beans to pressure cook quickly,

Too slow,—opened a can of sardines,—&,

Slowly enjoyed a ripe banana too,

Schubert's "Death & The Maiden" briskly plays,

The carpenters have resumed their pounding,

Nowhere synchronized to the quartet's mood,

Time distends—Difference does not matter,

Each has a separate emphasis strong,

Yet diverse their purposes can both live.
