Reviews for Maybe, Then You'd Love Me
Manuel Fajar chapter 1 . 4/22/2005
What an irony this poem contains dear,

┬┐Don't you know parents really are perfect?

They should be they've had time to learn it all,

But you can count me out of that total,

I was like that Greek god that born whole,

An apparition entire without youth,

So I've had to make all those mistakes now,

And, maybe that's why I screwed up two times,

& Don't you know they say the third's the charm.

Half the time, they did act the way you did at your age. I don't think that everyone's parents got straight As and had perfect paper cut-out friends. It's hard for them to let us go, and just to let us develop into a person independent of their wishes and beliefs. My parents are pretty open-minded, but sometimes when you aren't perfect, parents get like that. Hang in there...usually parents and kids have rough times in the teen years, but they become friends again when you get older.
And this is a positive review, BTW, so good job.
