![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for updating despite your illness and the relentless studyage! Great chapter, of course. Kat is easy to like, and it's fun to finally get to read about a character who is more like Alora than anyone else. I like that Drake watched Renee leave the room, just like she wanted him to - gives him a little bit more of that warm-blooded human quality we're all eager for. :) Ah, what can I say about the lesson and the touching of Drake's hair? I liked the change of scenery - Alora's turf and all for once - and Drake had to have left the apartment with a greater appreciation for Alora and the art she gave him before. Hmm, I just liked it all! Hooray for the return of weekly lunches [and in his office! I wonder what his secretary thinks?], hooray for the sharing of stories and conversation between the two of them. Looking forward to more, of course! :) |
![]() ![]() I love you even more DragenEyez! You are spoiling us too much! I wish you would update frequently though because I love this story! I wonder if here is something going on with those two... If there is, I like your slow approach to their developing relationship. I really like it! I hope you update for frequently :) AC |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really enjoyed this chapter. I'm glad they made up and I can't wait to see how the pottery lesson goes! |
![]() ![]() ![]() hah. A suit in a sloppy t shirt and jeans. Absurd thought. Another entertaining chapter and Alora's mother is so bad at apologizing, you portrayed both her and Drake's reluctance to admit to being wrong. hehe. Update your next chapter soon! Kat. |
![]() ![]() YEAH! You're back! I really missed Drake, and happy the other idiot is gone. Thanks. -too lazy to login- |
![]() ![]() I'm very glad they reconciled. I was anticipating this for a long time. But I hope there will be more Drake and Alora in the future chapters. |
![]() ![]() Ahh, haha! I am delighted! Two apologies! More male Mooney time! Kendra! New roomie! So good! As fond as I am of Alora and Drake, your supporting characters are always enjoyable to read of as well; I like that they [and the assorted conflicts they drag along with them] really add a true-to-life substance and dimensional feeling to your story. This chapter definitely made up for all the anticipation built up these past two weeks since your last update - great mix between fun filler and plot pusher [definitely more of the latter]. Would you let your mommers read your book and watch her blush with pride? Hope school isn't running you up the wall - Looking forward to more! :) |
![]() ![]() ... To continue! I THOUGHT YOU WERE UPDATING ONCE A WEEK? (Or did I misunderstand you and awaited the updates too eagerly? XD Probably. n_n; ) I honestly think you should try to get this published. I think it would do well! D Of course, polish it up a little, fix the retcons, add a few more details here and there where it would be muchly appreciated... I believe the story would be a big hit! _ BTW, I totally want to be a part of that mailing list, so.. D Always loving it, your long time fan. X3 FL |
![]() ![]() OH! THE TWEESTS! THEY ARE KEELLING ME! XD Chapter had me giggling almost continously throughout the reading. Obviously I'm very happy that Lorie apologized and that she and Drake are friends again... and that she's back on speaking terms with her momma. X3 i THOUGHT |
![]() ![]() Hooray! Is it weird that your chapters are getting longer? Uh, I'm thinking that's kind of super great...at least from this side of the fence. :) I'm excited to see where things go from here - I hope Drake and Alora won't remain at an emotional impasse for much longer. Talk and resolve and be friends, please? I'm digging Alora's interactions with her coworkers and fellow suitish underlings - I just imagine all manners of fantastic expression when they hear something [anything] about D & A in the future...if ever. Thanks for updating - can't wait for more soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() *scream of excitement* I'm just happy you're updating! Honestly, this has to be my top favorite original story in this entire site. XD It's just too memorable... X3 I can't wait to see where things head, although I'm still royally shipping Drake/Lora, even though I've no idea how those two could even be friends after fighting like that. _ Lorie needs to apologize... _ ; I await more copyright "Office DRAMA!' as well as "ROMANCE!' and just general 'TWEESTS!' in the story line that I will never see coming. _ |
![]() ![]() ![]() wow, i had tpo re-read the entire story to make sure i didn't forget anything so first let me say, i've been sitting here all morning. lord you've written alot and secondly, it was definately worth re-reading. i got to thischapter and i finished it and well i feel sorry for both of them but man did the suit findher a well suited job. gah i have to go update soon and brilliant story cya Kat. |
![]() ![]() I forgot to say that I found Drake's reaction to Alora's outburst to be just right - such a great mix of anger, condescension, and control - genuine and still characteristic. That paragraph is my second favorite part of the chapter [the first being Alora's sweet coffee-making skills]. :) |
![]() ![]() What'd I think? I'm ridiculously happy you're back, and I'm even happier to hear that you've FINISHED the story and plan to update on a regular basis! That announcement more or less pushes your absence out of memory. Thank you for writing and keeping up with this story! I almost wish I hadn't found Nutmeg again until much later when I'd have more new chapters to read. :) Alora just isn't catching a break, but I think it's good for her. She's a strong character with a strong sense of self-preservation despite her mistakes, and I like that she's still realistically immature in her own way. Her impulsivity at verbally lashing the suit shows just that. I hope she continues to grow up, and I hope she learns to approach and acknowledge Fearborn with a better sense of respect and decent conversation. Looking forward to more soon - it's going to be a chore to wait! |
