Ah, I like this very much. For some reason it reminded me of Naomi Shahib Nye, or at least the first line, the born of two nations...I love the little Zen koan stuck in there (I practice zazen & am quite fond of koans...). I like the tranquility line because it reminds me of the Buddhist/Taoist dilemma of being in a complete state of peace yet attempting to give up all sense of self, but still having self if you feel at peace. Simplistic. Very well done.
