| Manuel Fajar chapter 1 . 3/24/2006
¿How could I guess?
That beneath cool lay hidden warmth,—
A mantle covering soul's depth.
¿How could I know?
That nesting was a way of life,—
A mother's instinct,—primal love.
¿How could I see?
That man's desire is so short lived,–
A pleasure whose purpose is life.
¿How could I think?
That daily strains would diverse be,—
A change of venue morphing things.
¿And what of now?
Easy to dream of geisha dolls,—
Trained to perceive and love deceive.
¿Is that my wish?
p.s. ¡Write more! lol ;-*

gah, I know that feeling so well, we're always trying to fool ourselves into believing that we can make love last forever. I mean, I think it can, but not with teenage love. Excellent poem, the ending especially was awesome.
