![]() ![]() ![]() God, that was beautiful! I cried! Wonderful ending, I love how it was in Terry's POV, it definitely added something-I can't really place the feeling- it was just Right, Perfect. Thanks so much for it all! I'll never forget it! Love, Rachel |
![]() ![]() ![]() peculiar ending, very bittersweet. for being about a porn star, you kept this story very tasteful, and it was well written. a little melancholy, but i liked it. :) |
![]() ![]() I'll keep it short and just a that this was a fantastic story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() this isn't at all what I had expected at first, but it's very amazing and realistic. I felt very attached to the character and I like the last bit about Aiden making people leave the business. :) very good! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Don't have much time to review now, but I'm really liking this. Very intelligent, especially compared to most of the stuff on here. I like the voice you have. Very omniscent, in a sort of almost post-modern way, as if you're aware of faults even as you describe their positive characteristics. :D Well, now I'll be able to find it again when I have time. xD kbye. -Sally |
![]() ![]() ![]() oh wow. good lord that was good. i didn't even miss the smut. i could totally see this as a movie. like i would direct this right now. Lol. |
![]() ![]() ![]() JIM! no |
![]() ![]() ![]() some people just lack the common sense gene. i love this story by the way. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ingenious. Your story left me speechless. The themes and ideas springing around in this story are so utterly human and they really get you thinking about people and dreams and the impact you leave on the world when you're finally out of the limelight. And the last comment is true about everyone. When do we really know someone? Please continue writing. There's a lot of philosophy in your words. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow. That was so beautiful. Very deep and honest. I got teary toward the end. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can't believe this story doesn't have more reviews. It's quite sordid, but it still has sweetness and hope to it . . . I love that we don't know what happened to Aiden and Allen in the end. The epilogue is beautiful - Terry reminiscing, and that final "not really." You've crafted a nicely emotional tale, a beautiful if dirty world you allowed the readers to stumble into. Livi |
![]() ![]() O Wow. I just read this in one sitting and the entire thing was such a joy. I'm hardly ever moved to review but this story was such goodness. I haven't felt such satisfation from a love story in so long. I loved Aiden, I loved Sylvain and I loved your story. Beautiful. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I must be pretty oblivious to have missed that there were five more chapters left to this! : And I'm now more in love with this than before, if that's at all possible. This ending is just beautiful. Cathartic. And makes me want to dive back to the beginning and go through the journey all over again. The chapter with Aiden's father, with that passing mention of June, a warm day, was heart-breaking. I have no words. I'm too moved by it all. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story is so out of my league there is no way for me to critique or review properly. And even though I've been told there's no such thing as perfection, I can't imagine it would be much better than what I've just read. I could run through the usual internal rubric, mention style, characterizations, plot, details, etc. - but it wouldn't make a difference because, honestly, there is nothing here I don't like, and I would only be gushing for another thirty minutes. I think the only thing I'm worthy of noting specifically, is the topic for this story and how intricately it's been handled. I know nothing about gay porn, but while reading through Aiden's experiences, fears, dreams, and desires, I felt as though I understood completely and could finally see the business beyond its stigma. I have that to thank you for, and also for a remarkable story that I will certainly reread soon. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have to adore this. The writing is impeccable, and the characterization, the story, is not only entertaining and very much relatable but also incredibly insightful and beautiful. "“I’m worried,” Aiden said to the bathroom wall. “That everyone else is going to go someplace. And I’m not going to go anywhere.” Then he drew a dirty picture on it with a Sharpie and felt a little better." - That little detail, tagged on to the end of a secret but enormous fear, becomes so much more poignant and understandable. I'm gobbling this whole thing up. |
