![]() ![]() ![]() I read this a while ago but i've decided to go back and review all the stories i loved ] and i REALLY Loved this story P And that twist with Bishop and Render, TOTALLY didn't expect it...but yes, awesome story, really well written. LOVED it D |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is probably the best book I have ever read on this sight! OH MY GOSH! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice story! Great job! Jaliy!~ |
![]() ![]() ![]() "We talked some more, but mostly about meaningless topics (until Buzz brought up another baffler about one-legged flamingoes- that was pretty important shit.)" I can't even tell you how much I love Buzz - he's simply too awesome. And his fascination with mud fights and flamingos never ceases to crack me up. Actually, every time I read the parentheses in the quote above, I think of my best friend (who is not only relatively goth, but as sporadically and hilariously random as Buzz), and can't stop grinning. Reminds me of the high school days. . "A Dark Obsession" is fantastic, I absolutely love it. I tend to re-read the chapters every so often, simply because I love your style of writing & characters. I'm hoping that you'll write/post a newbie story in the near future, because I'd love to read it. You, my dear, are absolutely awesome. :) |
![]() ![]() I just wanted to let you know that I *love* your story! I've re-read it loads of times, simply because it never ceases to make me smile. Actually, I re-read some of the chapters last night as a means of avoiding some homework...which I'm trying to finish an hour before class starts. . Either way, Render, Bishop & Buzz are my favorite characters. The things they say and do within this tale remind me of some of my friends from back home who were the "goths" of our school. As you point out in "A Dark Obsession," the stereotypes thrown at goths are generally incorrect. They're rather awesome, not to mention full of absolute hilarity. I hope you will write another story soon, your stuff is awesome. If you do so, I can't wait to read it. :) |
![]() ![]() snow xD that was a really nice surprise. i've never gotten piercings before but you make goths seem so cool - haha how nice it would be to rebel and shit. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hey, just wanted to tell you that you should change the status to Complete. As a rule, I always read complete stories, but I've always had a thing for goths, so I read yours. :) Loved this, by the way. Instant Fave. Like Instant Noodles. Okay, whatever. ::Sputnik Kid:: |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm gonna cry. Like serious man. I sat here for about five minutes after I was done reading just wondering ' .no. The story is over. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH THE REST OF MY LIFE.' I sat more. Then I did this. And I'm still uber depressed, but i think I feel better, but not really since you already have over a thousand reviews and will probably never read this. So I'm not going to think about that. I'm babbling. It's your fault. The amazingness of this story has stunned my brain. What am I supposed to do now. WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hiya. I just wanted to drop a line and let you know that I really love this story. It's not epic and ostentatious, and the characters aren't on some holy mission to save the world, but the story still has that sort of crucial draw to it. The characters are real people, unique instead of perfect, and different but easy to relate to. They drive the plot and, as a result, the entire thing ends up as a very intuitive story about what it means to be a person. It's a coming-of-age piece without all that hoity toity bull (and with a cooler name than most of them- you know the type; "White Dahlias" or "Effervescent" and weird stuff like that). I thought the ending moved a little fast; I would have liked more resolution with Bishop and Anna, and more description of their new digs in Portland. But all in all I thought it was a great piece of work and I hope you don't mind if I favorite it. Keep writing. xoxo, Sekhra |
![]() ![]() ![]() are you planning on writing pawn & boston's story? |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was amazing! I loved the whole thing. You planned it out really nicely, I especially loved the part about Render protecting his Bishops more than his King. Nice. I also loved the "Change your dose" line, that cracks me up. Thanks for sharing this, you're really talented! |
