Reviews for For Children, to Avoid Demise
MethodlessMadness chapter 1 . 7/5/2013
That is just so hilarious in such a sick way...
Jedi Christ chapter 1 . 2/14/2006
Haha, this is wonderful! Disturbing, but great. This is going on my favourites. It would be awesome if you continued it!

Lissa Wyga chapter 1 . 6/25/2005
I thought this was quite good. I can't decide whether I think it is funny or not though. I think its funny for adults, looking back on the advice we got as children...
Guinivere Sage chapter 1 . 6/9/2005
i like fire...
India Blackwell chapter 1 . 3/6/2005
Ha ha, this is really funny! I totally agree with the image of an old grandmotherly figure telling this lesson to a swarm of kiddies right before they go off to bed. (Then they lay awake all night worrying that they will go up in flames!) Somewhat Snicket-ey, job!
lamia animus chapter 1 . 2/23/2005
that is HILARIOUS! i aggree completely about the stupidity of the word "inflammable" but i dont aggree about the candy thing. see, chocolate is the best thing in the world and if someone offers you candy, you get in the car immediatly provided it is chocolate. but if its not chocolate then dont bother. this was very random and very funny.

Pico the Great chapter 1 . 2/16/2005
Great title. I like this title, puts me in mind of some Victorian lady narrating and her three offspring sitting like stenographers.

And then the first paragraph gets mean at the end. That's so mean.

After that it gets better, though. G'job overall.

Ta!

k chapter 1 . 2/9/2005
hahah! that was cute!I dont know why the first reviewer said all tht stuff.. I didn't think you were trying too hard to be funny at all!I thought it was good advice that was unintentionaly funny!
I still love music chapter 1 . 2/2/2005
I have to say I agree with the first two reviewers. You are a very talented writer but comedy is not your strong point. Every writer finds a different niche, whether it's comedy, scriptwriting, poetry etc. You have a gift for creating stories and believable, interesting characters - but avoid comedy!
Daffodil Elizabeth chapter 1 . 1/30/2005
Ha! How true, how true... I thought this was rather funny. Happy writing!
BuffLie chapter 1 . 1/30/2005
I thought it was funny in a very silly sort of way. It has the same sort of feeling that "A Series of Unfortunate Events" has. I liked it. Are you going to continue with the advice giving, or was this a one-time deal?
Nick H chapter 1 . 1/30/2005
Sorry, this wasn't funny in the slightest. My only advice is to stop trying to be funny and simply let it come. Forced comedy is never enjoyable.
