Wow - I really loved this poem, its development from acceptance to igorance to acceptance in the end. I particualrly liked the description in
Fleeing from the droning gold-and-black-banded insects/ Shunning the rose for fear of pricking thorns/ Avoiding nettles like the plague
The alienation showed how far further the child was from nature, but it was the last verse I loved, for its cylical bringing back to life.

Wow, you are an amazing poet! I love all of your stuff...going straight into my favourite authors list! BTW: I have a story about Gaelic fey called "The Otherworld", if you could give any input on it since you seem to be really into that kind of stuff, it would be greatly appreciated!
