Reviews for Happy Birthday
Cinderblock chapter 1 . 5/3/2005
Hollow words, 'happy birthday'. When that day seems just like any other. You manage to capture how usually birthdays are boring and hollow despite the effort to celebrate- which usually involves some poorly thought out cards and cake, lets not forget the occasional monotone drone of someone singing 'happy birthday to you'. Or- at the very least, that is what I thought when I read the poem. Amusement mixed with dread of many more of these days to come. I liked the first sentence. I found it humorous. I don't know whether or not you meant it to be, so that made it all the more amusing.
