Reviews for Original Sin
Tiefling chapter 1 . 3/2/2005
A lot of Christians don't buy the idea of original sin, that's one of the reasons there are Protestants.
beelzebubbles chapter 1 . 3/1/2005
Haha. I'm not Catholic, so I don't have to worry! I'm still going to Hell though.
Formerly chapter 1 . 2/28/2005
Well, uh, yeah.
John Stein chapter 1 . 2/27/2005
I don't know why there are debates about whether or not different doctrines in religion (such as original sin and hell) are fair. What matters is whether or not they are real. Either way, whether or not they are 'fair' has very little to do with it.
rowana chapter 1 . 2/26/2005
Interesting. You've basically put forward the islamic argument, and the reason why muslims are very dubious about the whole 'original sin' idea, as well as the idea that God had a son who was 100% divine, as well as 100% mortal, who died to save us all.

Bear in mind that there are a lot of different views on this topic. It isn't just 'Christian or Atheist'.
gangster-dolly chapter 1 . 2/25/2005
"Dream of white boy, dream of black girl" Okay okay so shoot me I love INXS.

Um, excuse my blatantcy, but did anyone forget that, oh yeah, GOD DON'T EXIST and therefore we create or own damn sins? God didn't 'posses' people and start making them do sins etc. Lol, sometimes I feel sorry for you people *coughs suggestively*.

Mbwun chapter 1 . 2/25/2005
A lot of Catholic doctrine was created to control the Christian majority of the West and East Roman Empires and, later, Western Europe. It has very little to do with God.

Black-Winged Requiem chapter 1 . 2/25/2005
im not a catholic, so i wont speak for them. you have a logic question, and all i can say in response is what i was taught-sinners we are, yes. but, accepting J.C., and living that, are that is required for salvation. thats it. no confession, none of that that catholicism teaches. just acceptance.
Tyanna chapter 1 . 2/25/2005
very true, and exactally my thinking too. you can also gain sin from your parents...if they have done something terribly wrong...it can be passed to you...again, doesn't seem right since you can't repent until you learn to speak or learn that you have to.

it's a rather backwords way of thinking...I agree 100% :)
Gypsie Girl chapter 1 . 2/25/2005
Very true, yet another part of Catholicism that I've never understood.
